Title: The first official ED-meeting!!

A meeting that allows a lot of ED-members to get together and finally meet each other! - Where? At the J-Culture Anime Convention in Derby, United Kingdom. - When? October 17th is the actual convention, but there's plans for a dinner somewhere on October 18th as well  So saturday and sunday of that weekend!- Why? Because you'll get to meet people you've been chatting to for ages! Because it's fun! Because it's the first real meeting and thus it'll be very memoriable! - Who? So far these people will be there: Dark Lady Happyslashes Ing (Amaunet) Loc_zsu Proximax Serenity Shadow Dragon Tearsofblood Temeraire I can't put my own name there yet, as I still have to clear it with work, but I don't really foresee a problem there. I'll update the list when I get new data. Of course, people will have to take care of their own places to sleep and their transportation, but everyone's welcome!! Those above are all UK-ers, but as 'mainlander', I'll be flying there myself. The closest airport is East Midlands. I'm hoping to drag more non-UK-ers there too, so it can be a big and fun meeting!  |

Here it is at long last. Your choices for your new member rep. This did take a little longer to get sorted than previously planned, but here it is anyway! Your task is simple my friends, all you need to do now is vote for which one you would prefer as your member rep. You don’t have to post who you voted for if you don’t want to, but it would be nice to hear your thoughts on who you are voting for. The poll will be up for a month, giving you plenty of time to think about it. If most of the members have voted before the month is up, then it will be closed early. If, however, we have had barely any votes, then it will stay up longer. So, allow me to announce your two choices: Happyslashes and Earth Dragon! Vote wisely people, as the person you choose could be your member rep for a good long run. Have fun, and don’t forget to remind others to vote! Title: Performance Increase
I upgraded the webservice platform, rearranged a few bits, changed other bits around... and now we have an even more responsive ED.

Boring Techy Stuff:
Optimise the database server by tuning its configuration to increase performance. Add additional memory to the system to cope with increased demand (more visitors). |
